Grants

The Boston Schoolyard Funders Collaborative provides planning grants to eligible BPS elementary and K-8 schools to support the planning of schoolyard projects. Winning schools are chosen through a process that includes representatives from Boston Public Schools, the Boston Schoolyard Funders Collaborative and the City of Boston. The City of Boston and the Boston Schoolyard Funders Collaborative share the costs for the capital construction phase of the projects.

2011 schoolyard planning grants were given to the Grew Elementary School, the Harvard/Kent Elementary School, and the Henderson Elementary School.  Planning commenced on these projects this fall. Construction is anticipated in the summer of 2012.
